The concept behind Rinehart Targets leading solid, self-healing foam started in 1997 when founder John Rinehart started shooting on foam targets. Dissapointed in quality and durability of what was on the market back than, John started to look for something better. In 1999 John Rinehart founded Targets and made the first patented locking-inserts for the Rinehart 3D targets, which increases the durability of the Rinehart targets drastically. The first targets, the iconic Velociraptor, were quickly followed by more realistic and unique 3D targets.
